This is a fashion story that shows how haute couture can transcend into trendy summer wear.

Our debut Photo shoot
To support the claim that we are a photographer and stylist duo from out of this world, we needed to prove it. These photos are from our debut photoshoot where we did a bit of lookbook photography and a beauty shot.

Our FIRST fashion event - just so happens to be the Mercedes-Benz Africa Fashion Week
By Thato
Maluleke
Although it’s a tad too late, I’m calling all fashion people to see what we saw on the last day of the Mercedes-Benz Africa Fashion Week Africa 2013 hosted by the city of Tshwane in Gauteng this past Saturday. Since this was our first time at a fashion event, we got there looking like two deers in the headlights. Because we were late for the first two shows, when we arrived, there was no one in sight and for a second I thought that maybe there were no people attending this event. Not after long, there was an interval and out came fashionistas by the swarms. There were so many people to photograph for the blog that I became a deer in the headlights all over again.

I took a few shots of people and funny enough, other people
wanted photos of both me and Natasha. This posing fiesta carried on until the
second part of the show program. In this show, models strutted their stuff in
royal red and gold garments by Angelina Masike, neutral-palette dresses by
Wetive Nkosi and a winter range by Khotatso Tsosetsi with pops of colour
everywhere. For Khotatso’s last look, people went on a cheering frenzy because
it was modelled by the ever-so-African Alek Wek.

After Khotsatso’s show, there was another interval, and this
was our time to network and find business opportunities. And take photos of
people that we didn’t see during the first interval. Five minutes before the
Menckel show, Alek Wek came out of the Mercedes-Benz VIP lounge adorned in what
I like to describe as a melted dark chocolate frock by Thula Sindi. As she was
walking her way up, I decided to paparazzi her and a few moments later, we
collided, I asked to hug her, and she gave me one of the warmest hugs known to
man!

Everybody went back to see Menckel’s flowy versus rigid
collection. After that show, it was getting dark, so Natasha and I decided to
go home.

Overall, for our first fashion event, we did quite good and
can’t wait for others in the future.
Introductions here and there...

Ready? Okay, let’s shoot!
Hello world and welcome to our blog!
My name is Thato Maluleke and I am joined by my business
partner and fashion buddy, Natasha Raphiri. We decided to create this blog by
popular demand because somehow we look like bloggers. We are fashionista’s in
the making and together with my photography skills we created a fashion blog
based on our personal style, the streetstyle that we like, the nail art that we
do and some of our favourite pass-times such as photography, trend reporting
and styling other people – because we love those kinds of things.
Together, Natasha and I, aim to expose the fashion and art
dynamic of Pretoria and other places through collaborations with designers,
models, artists, photographers and other bloggers. As well as to bring fashion
to a level that people can understand without being too technical – because we
are fun like that!
So sit tight and experience our fashion journey!
PS: We are young, free-spirited and a double-trouble worth
tolerating.
